About Herb Scher Photography

Herb Scher is a New York City-based photographer and videographer. His work has been published in such publications as The New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Architectural Record and has been featured in recent exhibitions at The New York Public Library and Miami Design Preservation League. He regularly works with a wide range of cultural organizations and corporations shooting portraits, events, architecture, museum installations, and artwork. His projects include documenting the evolution of urban locations over long periods of time, including sites in New York City and the Miami Beach neighborhood where his grandfather owned a popular delicatessen. His studies in photography began at age 10 at Miami's Museum of Science and included influential classes at Yale School of Art, International Center for Photography, and Camp Skycrest for Boys. He is currently a member of the Board of the New York City chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP).
